The Catholic Convert Blog Returns
I hate putting things like this out here on the web, mainly because I have my pride and I've always been one of those that can always figure something out.
But here, goes.
Most of you know that I was hit pretty hard during Hurricane Helene back in September last year and it took me almost 5 months to get my property back to normal. That took a good hit on my finances and I had to go beyond my regular job of being an editor and a writer/ghostwriter which has sustained my livlihood for over 5 years now and take some work at a local sawmill to make back what was lost.
Since then, things have been okay, but over the last month or so, that hasn't been the case. Some unexpected and unforseeable things have happened and it's taken a pretty good toll on me financially. (A handful of you are close enough to me to know the details.)
All that being said, I still can't bring myself to ask for a handout or set up some cringy crowdfunding page.
What I can do is what I'm doing now and drop a link to my substack. A subscription is merely $5/mo or $50/year.
And yes, I haven't dropped a new post on there in some time because I've gotten overly busy with other writing projects, but I'm bringing it back starting today. If you'd like to subscribe, the link is below.
